Chamomile (German) - has pretty daisy-like flowers and is popularly used for aromatic lawns and smells faintly of apples when stepped on.
Chamomile is easy to grow. They thrive in full sun. They prefer average to rich soils. Regular application of fertilizer will help this plant to grow to it's maximum height. Provide sufficient water to keep the soil moist. The plants grow from 12 to 30 inches, depending upon variety.
Grind a little Chamomile and mix it with a little water into a paste to treat toothaches. It's sprigs can be added to salads and sauces. It has great medicinal qualities in tea. Camomile is also used to treat stomach aches, and in tonics. Chamomile infusions make a good herbal rinse for the hair and are also good for the skin and eyes. It is also believed to improve the immune system. It may help to ward of colds and other ailments.
Seed packet contains around 50 seeds, these seeds are very small so be careful with them. Sow on top of the soil mix and water in with a fine mist.
