Chervil isone of the classic fine herbs, has a delicate aniseed flavor and compliments and improves the flavor of other herbs when combined. It is excellent in soups, salads, with eggs, sauces and in herb butter. It is used as or with parsley in dishes and as a garnish.
Chervil prefers fertile, moist soil. The plant is easily grown from seeds and produces dainty white flowers that readily reseed themselves in late summer. Plant in succession for harvesting all season. Chervil does not likethe heat and should be planted in partial shade and watered regularly to prevent it from bolting prematurely. .
